Aunjanue Ellis
Aunjanue Taylor is an American actress and producer best famous for the roles she played on the television series Ray Undercover Brother, The Mentalist and The television series The Mentalist. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in African-American Studies at Brown University, and a Master in Fine Arts in Acting at the Tisch School of the Arts at New York University. Aunjanue l. Ellis is an American producer and actress who has worked in theater and TV and films as well, is active in both the film and theater screen. Her career began with theater, and was later featured in several shows on television as well as independent and mainstream films. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and appeared on BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for which she not only received high praise but also numerous nominations and awards, including the Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her professional acting d but was as Ariel as Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. The credits on stage are Come and Gone Drowning Crow as well as Seeking the Genesis, a Broadway production directed by Joe Turner. Her film work is highlighted by her appearances on Men of Honor The Caveman's Valentine The Express, and The Help.
