Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd first began training in combat sports when she was 14. She studied kickboxing, boxing and wrestling prior to making her first amateur appearance at WCFC in front of Jaimee Nievera. Ladd was able to take down three opponents in a row at Ultimate Reno Combat. All of the opponents she defeated were finished within the first few minutes. Following that, she travelled to WCFC again and beat Leslie Rodriguez in a unanimous decision. Aspen defeated Silvia Babaeghian, Maddy Simmons and Cynthia Calvillo before facing Cynthia Calvillo in WCFC 9 Cynthia was defeated by Aspen with a majority vote. This put a stain on her record as an amateur. Ladd bounced back from her defeat and defeated Roma Pawelek, taking her record to eight one. Aspen made her pro debut in 2015 when she signed with Invicta FC. Invicta fight Ana Carolina Vidal in Invicta '11 and she won by one-round TKO. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and prevailed via armbar submission in the 2nd round. Aspen used her superior wrestling skills to take down McGill and ended her via third-round TKO(elbows and punches). Aspen then fought Jessica Hoy in Invicta FC 18, weighing weight of catchweight (138.1lb), as Ladd had missed weight. However, Aspen was able to dominate Hoy. She finished her by KO in the 2nd round. Invicta FC 28 was her last bout for the organization. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks beaten by a unanimity. Aspen Ladd was the first UFC fighter to make her debut. She fought Linalansberg at UFC Fight Night 118. She outclassed Lina through ground-and-pound and won the TKO round at the end of the 2nd. The next time she fought Tonya EVINGER at UFC 229, her victory was even more stunning. Ladd finished Evinger in the first round, and was awarded a performance of the night bonus. Invicta FC's Sijara Ebanks was her opponent for a rematch at UFC Fight Night dos Anjos against Lee. This was Ladd's debut major fight. Both fighters put up an intense battle that concluded with Ladd winning via unanimous decision and both fighters receiving an award known as the Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie ended Ladd's winning streak within 16 seconds. After a break of a few seconds her return to the ring and finished Yana Kunizkaya of the UFC in their ESPN 7 third-round fight. She faced Norma Dumont as a substitute for her fight last time with the UFC at UFC Fight Night 195. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
