The actress can also be seen in Tyler Perry's hit movie, Why Did I Get Married? Perry, Janet Jackson and the indie film Frozen Peas are all starring with her. Other credits in her filmography are The 636, for which she received the best Actress at the 2014 NYLA International Film Festival, Shattered!, Never Die Alone as well as American Adobo. Cum Laude awarded Keesha a B.F.A. Keesha decided to pursue a career in acting after graduating from the Cum Laude Theatre School with the Bachelor of Fine Arts. She appeared in an upcoming Broadway National Tour of Carousel as well as debuted Off Broadway as Michael Bradford's Living in the Wind. Also, she performed eight roles in the interactive comic Eat the Runt. The other theatre productions are Abyssinia, Aida, Thunder Knockin', Jitney, The Producers, Big Street, Suburb and Joe Turner's Come and Gone, in which Keesha was a playwright alongside August Wilson himself. Keesha's work includes directing episodes from "Lethal Weapon", Are We There Yet?" and short films One Day Lillian and Half Off. Keesha created Clean, The Brit & Broken Doll. In addition, she has several original projects under development.
